another festival

We went to another church festival this weekend. Liam loves walking around, looking at the lights and games, and of course, the festival food. His favorite thing in the world is to go on the rides, and it is so much fun to watch him get excited about them. We went on the carousel together, where he chose the elephant to ride. When it stopped, I told him we were all done, and he shook his head and said "No, no" very matter of factly. I had to bribe with other rides to get him off.

At the petting zoo, we saw goats, a llama (or alpaca?), calves, goats, sheep, ducks, and chickens! Liam made friends with this little goat and was laughing when it tried to lick his hand.

The best part of the night was introducing Liam to his first solo carnival ride! We were a little nervous that he would want to get off if we weren't with him, but he LOVED it. He cried when he had to get off, but after walking around a little more, he got to ride it again. I took a lot of pictures because it was cracking us up - he was so happy turning the steering wheel and laughing when he came around the corner at us. I almost teared up - he looked like such a big boy!
