lots of recent fun!

We've been busy over the last few weeks, so here's a little catch-up. 2 weeks ago, Bret and the girls, and Layne and her family all came to stay with us. We had a great time with all the kids; they are at great ages to entertain themselves in our playroom/basement for quite some time! We took a trip to the aviary, and we had a lot of fun seeing all the different types of birds there. 

This picture makes me laugh because if you asked Emma what color her (orange) socks were, she would reply, "Mango".

Last weekend, my mom and brother came to visit, and we took a trip to the zoo. We renewed our membership there, so I'm looking forward to many visits as the weather gets warmer. It was a little chilly, but sunny, so we saw a few outdoor animals before making our way to the aquarium. Many of the animals are more active in the winter, like these tigers we watched as they played together:

 We have had the best winter so far! It's been unseasonably warm, and we've had very little snow. It did snow last weekend, though, so I took Liam out for some fun. As expected, he would've stayed out all day long. He helped me shovel, slid down his snow-covered slide, and played with his trucks.

 For some strange reason, Avery has started blinking long blinks to be funny. It started when she would put a food in her mouth she wasn't quite sure of, almost gagging as she ate. It made me laugh so hard that she does it a lot now. She is such a nut!
