the duck!

The duck has been the big Pittsburgh news this past month or so. It is a 40-foot-high inflatable duck, created by an artist as a traveling exhibit; although I recently learned the artist creates unique plans for each city's duck. Pittsburgh chose the 40-foot duck so it could float down the river and fit under the Roberto Clemente bridge. Now you know!
It's kind of silly, but something I definitely wanted to take the kids to see before it leaves on Sunday. They parked the duck right at the Point, where the rivers meet. It's a really pretty spot, surrounded by downtown Pittsburgh. We had a beautiful day, got to see the fountain at Point State Park, and ate lunch by the duck.
