festival

We went to a festival at a nearby church over the weekend. We also went last year, so it's turning out to be a fun tradition. The festival is great - not too big or small, and it has games, rides, and really good food. We started out with the giant slide. Because we were some of the first riders of the night, is was REALLY slow. I think Liam would have enjoyed it a lot more if it was faster, but it was neat to see him ride it fearlessly with Bo.

These two were hilarious. An older couple with some juggling tricks set to music. Classic.

Bo tried three times to win Liam a goldfish, but failed. I guess we have to buy one.

Bo's luck did return as he walked past another game, threw a quarter down on one number, and the big wheel landed on the same number. We won this fabulous bird that Liam first hugged:

then we showed him that it's really a hat!

One of the cutest things was a duck pond game, perfect for kids Liam's age. Here he is waiting in line with his money:
Then he had a great time watching the ducks rotate around the water table. He just pushed them along until we made him choose one to pick up.
He got to pick a prize from a basket, and he chose a bouncy ball.

Later, we rode on the carousel, Liam's favorite. He just holds on to the pole and smiles the whole time the horses move up and down.

When we got off, he said, "See, See", which means horsey.

So after a few more walks around the festival, he went on again with Bo.
