science center

While Bo is on a work trip to Vegas, my mom is out helping me with the kids. Avery received a year membership to the Carnegie museums as a birthday gift from our group of friends, so we decided to head to the Science Center today. There were very few people, giving us lots of space to explore and choose which exhibits to see. As expected, we spent the most time in the train room and the floor dedicated for younger children.

After the trains, we stopped in the robot room to watch the basketball-playing robot, as well as to check out McKesson's Robot-Rx! Bo's last job was on the programming side of these amazing robots that dispense medications for patients in hospitals. At this exhibit, we could insert a patient data card and watch the robot go to the correct medication and dispense it into the basket. Daddy would be so proud:)

Here's Liam getting a close look at the fish tank. He loved using this magnifying glass, and he was quite entertained by a fish that popped in and out of a hole, spitting rocks as he came up.

Making fountains with tubes

Here's our last stop, the preschool room, where they have great winding water tables at different levels. There were boats and watering cans, ping pong balls and scoops - the kids had so much fun. Avery especially enjoyed herself, splashing at the water and trying to eat ping pong balls. We had a great morning!
