Layne and the boys came out to visit this week. Our plan to go to the aviary on Tuesday failed, because they were closed for the day for construction. We decided to drive out to Pittsburgh Mills to walk around and go to their play center. It was a great place to take 4 energetic boys! They had tubes and slides, a bouncy castle, ride-on truck ramps, a ball pit, and a rock climbing wall. They even had a special area just for Liam and Blake, with climbing equipment and a mini ball pit. We had so much fun!
On Wednesday, we went to Northway Mall, because they had scheduled a kids show that had animals from the Pittsburgh zoo. We got there early, and got good spots for the kids, only to find out later that the zoo people hadn't shown up. The woman in charge of the activities improvised and had songs for the kids, which satisfied most of them. The zoo people and animals did come about 45 minutes later, and while it was neat, the kids were melting, so we headed back home. It was a fun trip in theory!
