sunrise and deer

Liam got me up pretty early today, as in 5:30. He went back to sleep for an hour, but then was up again and ready for breakfast. This is too early for my taste, but oh well. The bonus is that I got to see this incredible sunrise!

Our super wacky neighbors feed a large array of wildlife, especially during the winter. There are tons of birds, squirrels, and not to mention CRAZY raccoons who fight and scream just feet away from our summer campfires. My favorite animals to see are the deer in the winter. I am used to seeing a group of five who come up from the woods around dusk each night. This year, there are 6, and they happpened to come up in the middle of the day - perfect for a picture. Liam thought they were very funny, and watched out the window as they ate. He then banged a toy against the window and they were gone.
