We had quite an interesting weekend when we got about two feet of snow on Friday night. Our power went out and remained out through Saturday. When our thermostat read 49 degrees, we decided to pack up and head to a friend's house. After 2 hours of unearthing the Jeep, we realized we couldn't drive it because the snow on the unplowed road was higher than the bottom of the car. A friend's dad (defying the warning that non-emergency personnel would be fined for driving) picked us up in his pickup truck. We stayed warm for the night (thanks, Jeremy and Adrienne!), and came home to power and heat after about 24 hours of being off. Since then, we have been clearing out our other car, shoveling our sidewalk, and letting Liam play in the snow. He would stay out all day if we let him, as suggested by the pictures of him crying to go back out. More snow is expected tonight, so it should be a memorable landscape!
