at the park

 We took advantage of Sunday's beautiful weather to walk to the park that connects to our neighborhood. It's about 3/4 of a mile away, so I'm sure we'll be walking there a lot on nice days and evenings. Avery's outfit  was a little mismatched, but the sun hat helped her and she actually kept it on! Both kids had fun on the swings and equipment, but the highlight for Liam was flying his kite in the big field. There was very little wind, but he ran with his kite and was so proud! It will be fun to fly it high for him on a breezier day.
As long as we're nearby, Liam is quite social with other people. He has no idea how to make appropriate conversation, though, so it can be pretty funny. He saw two middle school-aged girls swinging and said, "Hi!" They said hello back to him, and then he said in a sweet, high-pitched voice that he uses to praise Avery, "Oh! Did you get dressed today? I love your shirts!" We never know what he will say.
