Just before his third birthday, Liam agreed to give up his pacifiers. This has been a hard decision for me to make, since I knew it was best for him, but I also knew his sleep might be compromised! We decided to take them to Santa at the mall, so he could bring them to his baby elves. Overall, it was a great experience, and Santa responded so wonderfully, telling Liam how proud he was, and how he was honored that Liam brought them to him! He told him there would be something extra special under the tree this year. Liam loved talking to him and even asked to sit in his lap (big change from years past!). Santa asked what he would like for Christmas, and Liam responded, "Presents". Easy enough.

Afterward, Liam rode the train and got an ice cream treat.
We're really proud of Liam for doing this. As you can imagine, he was quite attached to his pacifiers after 3 years of sleeping with them! He has had a couple moments where he told us he wanted them back, but overall, it's going well. He sleeps great at night without them, but hasn't napped since we gave them away. I REALLY hope that changes soon!
